saw issues and question when I did my research on the vac. But found those same issue on ALL vacs. Dumping the canister after each use helps quite a bit. I also take the filter out and blow it out every so often. for those that go through belts must not be adjusting the carpet hight setting or have the brush clogged with long hair.
